Multnomah County, Library Operations Center

The Multnomah County Library Operations center is considered the heart of the library system, where every item placed on hold is sorted in addition to being the first stop for new books and materials. The project used the shell of a former Safeway store with an additional 15,000 SF of new construction added for office and meeting spaces. The building features an all-electric HVAC and Plumbing system including a roof mounted VRF system with integral heat recovery, heat recovery ventilation (HRVs) as well as a central heat-pump domestic hot water system.
